Volunteers are the life blood of foodbanks. Your skills could be just what we need.
Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are lots of ways to get involved. If you are interested in helping us please check out the volunteering section of our website and then get in touch – we’d love to hear from you!

Our foodbank relies on your goodwill and support.
Over 90% of the food distributed by foodbanks in The Trussell Trust network is donated by the public – that’s why your food donations are absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious three day supply of food. Our shopping list shows the food items that we need right now.

The easiest way to get food to us is to pop it in one of the collection points at the local supermarkets in Watford. We currently have points in Asda, Sainsbury’s and Tesco Extra.
Alternatively, you can drop food off at our warehouse (WD24 4YH) during the week, 10am – 1pm. If you are able to, please give us a call on 01923 804435 before you set off so that we know to expect you!

We produce a list of prayer points – please contact us if you would like a copy.
Specifically during this current coronavirus crisis, The Trussell Trust have pulled together some prayer resources for responding to the impacts of coronavirus on people facing acute poverty in the UK – you can find them here

The support of local and national businesses is vital to the running of our foodbank. We’d love your business to help us tackle food poverty on your doorstep. There are lots of ways to get involved, from volunteering with us a team building activity, to sharing your expertise.

If your company shares our belief that no-one should go hungry in Watford, we would love to hear from you.
